A near pair of Chinese hongmu and rouge marble inset stools, late 19th century, each carved and pierced with birds amid plum blossom branches, with shaped bamboo cross bracing, on four shaped feet, 51 and 52cm high

Condition:
One of the stools has a small inset repair at the base and possibly has three replacement feet although done sometime ago with Chinese jointing. Both with typical minor imperfections consistent with age and use, otherwise in good condition.
