A mid 20th century platinum, sapphire and diamond ring, with diamond set shoulders and central emerald cut sapphire with the dimensions 10.5mm x 8.1mm by 4.4mm, size 0.

The sapphire has no visible damage apart form a few very minute chips near the culet. The setting for the three graduated diamonds on each shoulder in showing signs of wear with some tiny but visible cracks appearing within the setting. Three of the claws securing the sapphire have yellow gold tips, possibly gold solder to strengthen the claws.
