A mid 19th century French red boulle work and ebony bookcase, with ormolu mounts and arched top over two glazed doors, W.4ft 1in. D.1ft 6in. H.7ft 10in.

Overall very good honest original condition, ormolu mounts showing oxidisation and rubbing from polishing over the years but otherwise look good, boullework to the arch over the doors has one or two small areas where the brass work is lifting, boullework to both doors looks good, brass remains intact except for the lower left corner where the entire corner scrollwork is missing, boullework strips to left and right both in good condition, sides are plain ebonised with some light splitting and a little of the brass stringing missing, in both cases from the top of each side, comes with the original key that operates the lock, three adjustable shelves within which is rosewood lined, although the shelves have been stuck with green baize, overall with the exception of the small area of brasswork to the door very good condition.
