A mid 18th century featherbanded walnut chest on chest, fitted three short and six graduated long drawers with brushing slide, W.3ft 6in. D.1ft 9in. H.6ft 2.5in.

Overall in somewhat neglected condition, the whole of a dark brown toffee tone, moulded cornice with signs of old cracks, repairs and worm holes, possibly re-veneered to the front, the drawers retain original handles and locks but no key, canted side angles with a number of horizontal splits running through both sides, left side with a number of mostly vertical cracks running through the veneer and one small patch at the back, the lower part of the left side with fewer cracks, right side similarly with a number of old vertical cracks and other cracks running through the grain of the veneer, some loss of veneer at the waist, brushing slide is plain oak with fine cracking running through the front veneer, feet have seen repairs and re-tipping, overall the front has the look of having been repolished some years ago but now is in need of further attention.
