A massive Chinese blue and white ‘lotus’ vase and cover, 18th/19th century, the shoulder with repeating ruyi heads above lotus flowers, scrolling tendrils and leaves and lappets to the base, the domed cover with onion-shaped finial, 62cm high, broken and glued

Condition:
Cover is associated to the base, small firing marks throughout, and one small chip to the rim, main vase with several large cracks running through the body indicating that it may once have had two large sections broken away that have now been glued back into place but the cracks remain obvious, see our photographs for further details. Firing marks throughout and minor chipping around the foot rim.
