Lot 857 , A mahogany grandmother clock, retailed by Mappin & Webb, 193cm high
A mahogany grandmother clock, retailed by Mappin & Webb, 193cm high
Estimate £300-500
All 3 weight and pendullum are present. The movement and dial are leaning forward and not sitting at a correct angle, which means the hammers for the chime aren't correctly lined up with the gongs. n
The hands are in the wrong position so when the minute hand is at 1/4 to, the clock is striking the hours. The movement is a little dusty so requires some attentions. Warped hood door, split to the trunk and bottom pabel loose.
