A late Victorian novelty silver cayenne pepper condiment, modelled as a Hobby horse, by Saunders & Shepherd, Chester, 1900, length 44mm.

There is a small circular blemish at he back end of the horse, which has been suggested may have been the remnants of a tail??, otherwise the overall condition is good. Hallmarks clear. Horses head a little loose in situ. The spoon is attached to the underside of the horses head.
