A late Victorian gold and oval cabochon garnet dress ring, with inset old cushion cut diamond, (with glass filled small chip), size Q.

There is a yellow glass filled chip to one end of the cabochon stone, approx. 2mm by 2mm. No visible damage to the diamond. We believe the garnet to be foil backed. Some visible green oxidisation to both shank shoulders. No gold marks.
