A late Victorian Horse Racing related engraved silver open faced keywind pocket watch, by J. Vickers, Leicester Road, Coventry, the enamelled dial with a signed painted bust of the jockey Fred Archer to the centre and flanked by other Victorian jockeys including J. Goater, F. Webb, C. Wood and J. Osborne, in a horseshoe motif, with Roman numerals, case hallmarked for Chester, 1889, together with a heavy silver albert with a Good Luck horseshoe fob (unmarked).

Condition:
The engraved decoration is a little tired in places. Silver a little tarnished in general, including the albert and fob. Dial in good order apart from a small chip to edge of the dial between 1 & 2. There appears to be some marks/loss the the gilding within the horseshoe?? Watch ticks when wound.
