A late 19th century early 20th century finely woven, hand worked linen sheet 6’8”wide, together with a near matching large square pillowcase. Both items worked in Embroidery Anglaise, button holed and inset and trimmed with hand made Filet lace.
Condition - both items untorn, mended or stained, both unused since bought by the present owner in the mid 1970’s. Possibly originally part of a wedding trousseau, rarely used as it is so rare to find these items in this condition. Please note the Filet has pink tissue behind it to highlight the design.
