A late 19th century cast iron owl money bank, c.1880, with original painted finish, glass inset eyes and working mechanism, cast mark to base Patent Sept 21 and 28 1880, 7.5in.

The action appears to be working fine, there is some wear to the paint work and some of the paint has gone slightly opaque in places, minor casting imperfections, the bayonet action cover underneath has a larger hole than should be there, otherwise in good condition.
