A late 19th century Swiss gilt metal mounted phenolic singing bird box, the lid decorated in relief with cherubs releasing a caged bird, front button operating the feathered singing bird automaton, with key, 10 x 7cm, 3cm high

Condition:
Overall of a dull brownish tone, probably faded down from black with a little light surface scuffing, looks to be in full working order, gilding on the front button is a little rubbed, comes with what looks to be an original bird key although this does not fit within the back compartment.
