A late 19th century French silver and enamel vesta case by Roche et Cie, with slanted lid and panels painted with lady and gentleman,"La Rencontre" and "Au Rendez Vous", approx. 2in.

There is a significant piece of enamel missing from the top left corner of the lid. There is a small bruise to the enamel to the bottom left corner of the right side panel. There is a small piece of enamel missing from the top of the front panel. The striking panel underneath has brown patches amongst the yellow decoration. There are 2 hairline cracks to the enamel on the interior of the lid and there appears to be some minor damage/loss to the enamel on the interior of the box although quite difficult to see clearly.
