A late 19th century French brass hour repeating carriage clock, with enamelled dial signed Exam'd by Clerk, Royal Exchange, London, 6in.

Overall case discoloured and darkened with near ebonised finish in the recesses, escapement looks original but very dirty, front glass broken in the top right corner, enamelled dial discoloured and slightly rubbed but nothings missing just appears that way in our photograph, should read Exam'd by Clerk. Tip of the hour hand broken away, fret work oxidised but otherwise good, movement equally dark and dirty, stamped and numbered 13141. Adjustment knob for the hands appears to be a later replacement, very slight chip to the bottom left corner of the left side glass panel, other glass panels good, comes with an associated key, neither movement or repeat going, top escapement runs then stops.
