Condition:
Overall of a rich toffee brown walnut tone and fair state of polish. The top is not veneered and looks to have been made not to be seen, the cabinet does come with delicate spiral turned walnut legs with a flat serpentine stretcher however these bass pieces are not sufficiently stable to place the cabinet on. Some small losses of veneer around the cornice with a split above the top of the arched recess, some old splits running in the marquetry panel. Drawers are all in laid with floral marquetry and our oak lined with the original gilt brass knob handles, some small sections of cross banding are missing.
