A late 18th century Continental shagreen snuff box the lid inset with an enamel plaque depicting a bird and fruit 2.25in.

One small chip to the enamel at the very edge at 1 o'clock, some scratching to the shagreen notably right hand side of the lid where it looks to have been coloured in and back left corner where signs of glue is showing otherwise good.
