Overall in honest restored condition, the upholstery is later but in the 17th century style and remains in good condition, rails of the seat have been strengthened at the corners and underframe has been restored so that it now no longers wobbles or creaks, minor losses to the underframe commensurate with age and use, some of the feet have been re-tipped with new pads, rather dull in finish and would benefit from a repolish. Some sign of worm holes to the seat rails, a few scattered down the legs and to the underside of one of the feet.
