Lot 653 , A late 17th century engraved gold mounted Stuart crystal mourning slide, 23mm.

A late 17th century engraved gold mounted Stuart crystal mourning slide, 23mm.

A late 17th century engraved gold mounted Stuart crystal mourning slide, with indistinct decoration and the initials "JB" below a facetted rock crystal oval panel, 23mm.
Estimate £250-300

There appears to be an old repair to the end of each loop en verso. There is also a small hole to the setting on the back. The setting on the front is quite worn around the edges. Some very minor wear to the facet edges around the crystal. The decoration beneath the panel is hard to see as the condition is quite poor.
