A large and unusual 20th century oak cased longcase clock, in the arts and crafts style, after Mackintosh, the 13" engraved dial with copper roundels enamelled with blue Roman numerals, cornered with embossed copper spandrels, dated 1933, above a tapering glass panelled case with locking doors throughout, 197cm high, 60 x 36cm (maximum).
Sold with an advertisement from 'Building Design Magazine', March 9th 1984, from which the current vendors purchased this piece, sold as 'an unusual 30's grandfather clock' for the price of £300'.
