A large Japanese Satsuma pottery vase, late 19th century, finely gilded and painted in enamels with chrysanthemums and plum blossom, gosu blue sprigs and phoenix mon, the neck applied with a pair of ‘dragon’ handles, unmarked, 33.5cm, some damage to handles

Condition:
Typical fine crackle to the glaze all over, typical minor glaze imperfections. Both handles with small losses to the Dragon handles including the horns, spine and claws, and one of the dragons has been broken and re-glued around the neck and a section of the spine of the back.
