A large Exhibition quality Satsuma pottery vase, by Ryozan, Meiji period, finely painted to each side with figures amid pavilions and on boats in a mountainous river landscape between gilt and polychrome brocaded border, gilt nine character seal mark to the base, H.37.5cm

The vase has slight wear and scuffing to the gilding on top of the rim. There is some light grey staining on the inside of the neck. There is fine crazing to the glaze all over and other minute patches of wear to the shoulder of the vase otherwise in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks.
