A large Chinese famille rose teapot and cover, late Qianlong period, painted with luohan in landscapes on a cellular underglaze blue ground decorated with white slip butterflies and flowers, height 20cm, some faults
The spout of the teapot has been broken and reglued and there is fine crazing to the glaze on the body and handle and around the rim, these are just in the glaze and do not go through to the porcelain body underneath, there is some slight wear to the enamels on the reserves on each side otherwise in reasonable condition.
