A large Chinese famille rose 'bird and peony' yen-yen vase, 19th century, finely potted and painted with birds amid peony and pomegranate branches, underglaze blue double circle to base, height 78cm, neck repairs

A large section of the rim has been broken into several pieces and reglued with associated hairline crack extending down a little way into the neck, also further round there is a small rim chip with an associated hairline crack and another further shallow rim chip, looking at the vase from a sideways angle there is a slight lean to one side but when viewed front ways on with the birds facing you the lean is not apparent, there are a few occasional small unglazed areas where the biscuit has been exposed and is burnt orange around the join of the neck to the baluster shaped body and around the foot, otherwise in good condition.
