A large Chinese celadon ground baluster vase, mid 19th century, moulded and decorated in underglaze blue and white slip with two phoenix amid peonies within lappeted and floral borders, all picked out in gilt, unglazed base, 58.5cm

The rim has a few glaze flakes to the top edge and some wear to the gilding, there are typical minor firing imperfections to the glaze otherwise in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks and occasional minor wear to the gilding on the body.
