A large Chinese boxwood group of immortals, 20th century, intricately carved with He Xiangu, an attendant girl, peonies, deer, cranes and fruit, surmounted by the figure of Shou Lao, ebonised wood stand, total height 84cm

There are a few losses to the following areas: the top of Shou Lou staff, the ribbon towards the bottom of the attendant girls skirt and a tiny nick on the edge of the middle peacock wing or tail feather. The right hand peacock has a section of its tail broken and restuck and the gourd at the top of shou lou has a restuck stalk at the top, typical minor cracks to the wood, the ebonised wood stand is also carved and has some slight splits to the underneath.
