A group of 19th century Paris and Continental porcelain including a Sevres cup and saucer, a pair of Cornucopia vases, unusual strainer jar, cover and stand, tea wares etc.
Provenance - the estate of a former antique dealer, artist and decorator; the contents of a country residence, near Tunbridge Wells. Condition:
Sevres cup yellow enamel considerably worn all around. Saucer with repaired chip at rim, clearly visible, with a crack issuing inward, reaching cavetto, as shown. Saucer yellow enamel better but with some surface wear and some wear to gilding. Wahliss Vienna cup and saucer (blue, green and gilt) cup signed at crazed underside; saucer good. Brown and gilt coffee can and saucer unsigned continental hard paste; can neckrim chipped and re-gilded at this chip to disguise; otherwise both good. Pedestal goblet twice cracked; spill vase gilding worn. Hans Sloane plate modern; continental saucer chipped and worn. Rose-painted pot on trembleuse stand strainer with cracks; some wear to gilding; unsigned. Both cornucopia vases with repaired chips at neckrims; wear to gilding; unsigned.
