A good pair of Chinese blue and white ‘mythical beast’ jars, Kangxi period,
each painted to shaped reserves with a dragon, phoenix, qilin and a leaping carp, on a lotus and scrolling leaf and tendril ground.
Provenance- Property from the Estate of the late Mrs Joan Monk. D.C.Monk and Son were antique dealers in Kensington Church Street London from 1935 – 2010
