A good brass refracting telescope by TULLEY & SONS, Islington, London, signed on the tube, on a library stand with 3 1/8th inch diameter object lens, fitted with a star spotting scope, rack focusing, an adjustable slow drive, a sun shade, a stabilising bar together with an additional tube and lens, circa 1840. It retains some of its original lacquer finish.
