A good Japanese silver mounted gold lacquered table cabinet, Meiji period, decorated with fans and floral and foliate mon, the upper half opening to reveal an arrangement of twenty five drawers (most with different flower shaped silver handles), and two cupboards above two full width base drawers, a separate four legged stand, H. 53cm, W. 43cm, minor faults

There are a few small losses to the lacquer on the edge in the following places: when closed around the clasp area of the cabinet, when the top wing sections are opened there are some losses to the top edge of the lacquer and some scratching and scuffing to the lacquer where the wing sections have rubbed below, the hinges are slightly bent outward on the wing sections, there is some other occasional losses to edges, one of the silver strap mounts has become detached but the piece is inside in the drawer and just need some replacement pins, on the upper section with the arrangement of drawers there are four drawers each side without handles where you put your finger into a groove underneath to pull them out and there are some lacquer losses around this area, the seperate stand has some slight losses on the rear left leg around its join to the frieze otherwise some occasional minor wear to the lacquer on the legs, otherwise in reasonable condition, the silver is slightly dulled down and might benefit from a polish.
