A good George III silver gilt snuff box, by William Purse, hallmarked London 1808, of oblong form, the cover with cast and applied scene depicting a meeting between Philip & Alexander the Great, the remaining sides and base textured with extensive arrowheads motifs, the interior initialled & inscribed "Gate d'Amitie", Length 80mm Weight 5.8oz/181grms

Overall good, clean condition, however there is some very minor loss to the gilding on some of the raised features on the lid. Hallmarks clear but with some minor rubbing to the maker's marks.
