A gold and diamond Irish Guards Regiment badge, circa 1914 and later, designed as an eight-pointed star, centring on a three-leaf clover later set with circular-cut diamonds totalling approximately 0.20 carats, encircled by the motto 'QUIS SEPARABIT MDCCLXXIII' ('who shall separate us?' and the Roman numerals for 1783, the founding year of the Order of St Patrick), in gold, length 2.9cm, stamped 18CT and S.BRO, inscribed N.McD, October 1914, gross weight approximately 7.6 grams

In good condition. Inscription to the reverse is interrupted by drill holes for the diamond setting, meaning the stones were likely later added. Some minor discoloration to metal, overall in good condition.
