A four-bottle assortment of the original 1855 first growths, all from the 1993 vintage, including one Chateau Lafite, Premier Cru Classe, Pauillac, with Wine Society slip label; one Chateau Latour, Premier Cru Classe, Pauillac, with Wine Society slip label; one Chateau Margaux, Premier Cru Classe, Margaux; and one Chateau Haut-Brion, Premier Cru Classe, Graves. Levels into neck or better, all of excellent appearance with lightly cellar-soiled labels. Not perhaps a notably strong vintage, all first growths were however performing equally well in the early '90s so these would make for a fascinating, if slightly indulgent, horizontal tasting.
