A fine rare Jumeau Poupee Peau fashion doll, with portrait face, pale bisque, unmarked, kid body, bisque arms, original wig, cork pate in good condition, c.1870's, with associated clothes, H.18in.

The bisque head, shoulder plate and arms are in good condition. The cloth attaching the right arm to the torso is torn and just hanging on. The kid leather torso, lower abdomen and limbs are grubby and there is some later additional stitching to each hip and around the knee joints and the cloth joining the arms at the shoulder, Otherwise in reasonable condition. The clothing has some slight discolouration and occasional marks.
