A fine Victorian Renaissance Revival tourmaline, diamond, ruby and enamel brooch, late 19th century, designed as a plaque of foliate outline, centring on a cushion-shaped tourmaline weighing approximately 3.50 carats, within an elaborate border applied with red, white and blue enamel, accented with circular-cut rubies and diamonds, mounted in gold, length 5.4cm, gross weight 16 grams

Tourmaline an attractive deep pink, measuring approximately 10.3 x 9.7 x 5.6mm, calculated weight approximately 3.50 carats. Brooch in good condition, some minor, shallow chipping to enamel but nothing particularly obvious - overall in good state of preservation, no obvious restoration. Overall an unusual design of excellent quality.
