Estimate £800-1,200

One of the bird shaped branches is loose and twist around where the thread no longer fits the nut on the inside of the central ring or the orb, may just require a smaller nut to it, one of the bird shaped branches has a fixing which has been changed to a steel bolt now showing through on the outside of the scroll, the figure of Mercury is attached to the top of the orb with a screw thread which can be seen through a hole in his right foot, all the links to the rows appear to be present and there is some slight black spotting to the lower part of the orb, very occasionally other elements and the shaped apron pendant, one of the fan shaped lappets on the ceiling rose is much grubbier than the others, otherwise in reasonable condition, crisp good quality casting with hand chasing and chiselling, the gilding reasonably bright but grubby in some areas.
