of flattened baluster form applied with a pair of dragon mask ring handles, the body carved in relief with interlocking rope twist in imitation of archaic bronze wine jars dating from the Warring States period, the stone of good even tone, Provenance - Mr W G Pullen,

Condition:
Natural veining and inclusions to the stone. The stone is of good even colour, no restoration chips or cracks detected. Compare an 18th century jade vase with rope twist decoration sold by Christie’s, London, Fine Chinese Ceramics And Works of Art, 9 May 2017, lot 58. Provenance - Mr W G Pullen (d.1994), former Deputy Chairman of Standard and Chartered Banking Group Ltd. and of the Asian section of the British National Export Council.
