A fine Chinese huanghuali table cabinet, early Qing dynasty, 17th/18th century,
the pierced superstructure carved with a pair of dragons chasing a flaming jewel, a relief panel carved with lotus and the moon and the side panels with qilin, the base fitted with two short and one long drawer, the sides carved in relief with a monkey on rocks grasping a peach branch to the left and and an antelope and bird in a landscape to the right,

Condition:
The back, side panels, corner brackets and mirror rest are all removable and slot into position. The front right corner bracket has a splinter loss to the upright. The drawers all have some minor shrinkage to the base lining and some old ink stains to the interior. The top right drawer has a small inserted section to fill a gap in the base lining. The runners for the bottom drawer are probably replacements. The top of the cabinet has some ring marks and minor stains consistent with age and use.
