A fine Chinese blue and white ‘Xi Xiang Ji’ bowl, Kangxi six character mark and of the period (1662-1722) the exterior painted with four scenes from the Xi Xiang Ji (Romance of the Western Chamber), below a diaper border, the interior with boys by a garden wall, the border with a band of a ‘thousand wan’.

Condition:
Typical minor glaze imperfections. There is a a minute glaze chip to the edge of the rim, otherwise in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks. No restoration detected under UV light.
