A cultured pearl, sapphire and diamond necklace, 19th century and later, the clasp of cluster design, set with a circular-cut sapphire measuring approximately 6.5mm diameter, within a border of cushion-shaped diamonds totalling approximately 0.30 carats, mounted in gold, to a later string of graduated cultured pearls, length approximately 78cm

Condition:
Early clasp on a later strand of cultured pearls. Sapphire very attractive, fissure within stone, surface-reaching, but not obvious to naked eye - appearing a lovely well-saturated colour with good clarity and a lively cut. Diamonds bright and lively, pearls in good condition. Sapphire approx. 6.5mm. Pearls approx. 3.9mm to 9.2mm.
