A collection of Ancient Egyptian turquoise glazed faience amulets, 22nd dynasty (c.900 BC) and 18th dynasty (1700-1500 BC), comprising a display block of twenty three turquoise glazed faience amulets, and a copper ring, with label inscribed ‘from necklace….excavated tomb at Kurna Abydos 1908’, wooden block 31cm long and a display block of 10 amulets of the Utchat, inscribed to labels ‘typifying the strength and power of the eye of Horus or Ra, the Sun God from tombs at Europe excavations of Flinders Petrie XXII dynasty, 900 BC, no. 10 has reverse of God Bess, purchased through Egyptology department Liverpool University’

Provenance - The private collection of a titled lady, apparently some other items from this collection of Egyptian artefacts appeared at auction in the last 10 years. The display stands, labels and amulets are a little grubby but generally speaking they look to be in reasonable condition with only occasional tiny losses to some of the faience examples. The largest eye of Horus amulet is 4cm wide and the tallest is 2.4 cm. Of The 23 amulets the four lizards or crocodiles on a column is 2.3 cm high
