A canteen of Victorian silver Hanoverian rat tail pattern flatware for twenty four, by Aldwinkle & Slater, comprising one hundred and fifty four items, with engraved crest, London, 1894 (two later 1920's well matched pieces) together with twenty four later thread pattern silver handled tea, dessert and table knives, C.J. Vander Ltd, Sheffield, 1971/2 ( two later well matched pieces), weighable silver 253 oz.

24 of the following: 3- pronged table forks, 3- pronged dessert forks, 3- pronged tea forks, dessert spoons, teaspoons, table spoons.
6 x mustard ladles (4 & 2) and four sauce ladles.
24 later tea knives, dessert knives and table knives.

Dessert spoons- 5 are showing slight wear to the tips. Numerous minor surface scratches in general to the centre of the bowls. Some evidence of light scratching on the backs and stems also. All hallmarks clear.
Table knives- 12 of the blades have maker's mark engraved for M.P. Levine Ltd, Kensington. Handles all have light surface scratches in general, in line with some use.
Dessert knives- 12 of the blades are engraved for M.P. Levine. Handles all have light surface scratches in general, in line with some use.
Tea knives- All the handles have light scratches again, in line with some use. One of the handles has a large dent towards the bottom.
Teaspoons- All have some very minor surface scratches to the bowl front, back and stems. Most of the spoons are showing some slight wear to the spoon tips. One teaspoons has a dent to the side of the bowl. One of the teaspoons is well matched but later dated for London, 1923 by Francis Higgins & Son Ltd.
Dessert forks- Light surface scratches in general in line with some use. All tines are in good order except two forks which each have one slightly bent tine.
Sauce ladles and condiment spoons all with minor surface scratches in line with some use. One condiment spoon is a well matched later spoon dated for London, 1923 by Francis Higgins & Son Ltd.

All hallmarks are generally clear although some of the pieces hace pinched or slightly rubbed maker's marks.
Tea forks- Very slight signs of use. Tines all in good order.
Table forks- All have minor surface scratches in line with some use. A few of the forks are showing very slight wear to the tines.
Table spoons- Two of the spoon tips are showing slight signs of wear. There are numerous surface scartches to the centre of the bowls and the backs and stems.
