Lot 1110 , A William IV silver and jasper hardstone snuff box, 3.75in.

A William IV silver and jasper hardstone snuff box, 3.75in.

A William IV silver and jasper hardstone snuff box, of rectangular form, with reeded sides and inset jasper lid and base, Birmingham, 1830, 3.75in.
Estimate £150-200

There appears to have been some sort of repair/restoration to the lid as there are visible iridescent patches just below the surface, perhaps a type of lacquer?? The lid interior has numerous small dings dotted all over. General overall condition is otherwise good. Hallmarks clear but with some rubbing to the maker's mark.
