A William IV mahogany drop dial wall timepiece, painted Roman hour and numeral dial, pewter inlay, with single fusee movement, 20in.

Dial looking old and discoloured with signs of later retouching which have now stand out as a different colour, also a number of scratches and some light paint flaking scattered throughout, hands look original, case a good rich mahogany dial, some sign of fair wear and tear near the bezel between 7 and 9 o'clock presumably from opening over the years, has a later key for the door lock, brass work in tact but oxidised, starting to lift a little on the left side, equally brass bezel around the glazed panel heavily discoloured, small chip to the very base of the case at 6 o'clock, rectangular plate movement with shaped topped looks to be in good untouched condition, comes with a winding key and pendulum. Not tested for timekeeping.
