A William IV demi-fluted silver two handled presentation cup and cover by Matthew Boulton, of campana vase form, with engraved inscription and applied fruiting vine band, with scroll handles and vineous finial and foot, Birmingham, circa 1830, 12in, weighted.

Lid in good order. Marked on interior rim. Unable to see any mark on the finial.
The base is in overall genrally good condition. The hallmarks that are just visible obove the applied vineous band ar the lion and duty mark (both a little rubbed and the M form the maker's mark MB. The inscription reads "Presented to Willm Butler Best by Heny & Willm Brinton as a small token of their gratitude for his valuable services, 9th Feb, 1932."
The piece cannot be weighed accurately as it has a wooden inset base. The gross weight is 38 oz.
