£1,500-2,000
Condition:
There are losses to the enamel in the centre of the CMG on the front and more noticeably on the back. The World War I medals are tarnished and the 1914–15 star has verdigristo the surface, the Coronation and Jubilee Medals have a grey tone to them otherwise the main medals are in reasonable condition consistent with age. The miniature medals have some enamel losses to the CBE and the DSO the metal medals are a bit tarnished and the ribbons are very grubby. The accompanying photograph is a bit scuffed and the mount is torn upper right. Apparently this lot is listed as stolen on the Great War Forum which mystifies our vendor who is the grandson of the recipient.
