A Victorian zoetrope, with turned mahogany base and original box

The original box has a detached lid which is missing a quarter of its length. The base of the box has two wide shrinkage cracks. The metal drum is slightly mis-shapen an dented and the black paint on the exterior is heavily worn. Some losses to the label on the interior. The mahogany stem has losses to the end of the screw thread but holds in position securely. There are 27 strips with various non-PC titles, some marked 'Entered on the stationers Hall'. All slightly grubby, 8 torn and repaired or with photocopied section added at the end. 3 large tears, 16 generally good condition with the occasional minor tear.
