A Victorian scrap album, containing chromolithographic cards and scraps and pressed leaves and two other items, including 'Besieged in Paris' by Ashley Lawrence FRPSL, The Stuart Rossiter Trust, 2014, paperback, subtitled 'An Englishman's Account of the Franco-German War 1870-71', this publication comprises a series of letters written between William Brown in Paris and his wife in England during the siege of 1870-1, using whatever postal and clandestine means of communication available to them; the scrap album in the lot was compiled by Mrs Brown [as remembered by her son Malcolm, 'Heffy' in the book, great-grandfather of the vendor] and two topographical pencil sketches (on one sheet), initialled 'JWW' and attributed verso to 'Jeremiah Wooley' (3)
