A Victorian pine specimen cabinet enclosed by panelled doors, fitted ten glass-topped drawers containing a collection of South American, Eastern and other butterflies and moths, scarab beetles, etc., late Victorian/early 20th century and later, many specimens labelled cabinet 29.5 x 42in.

Cabinet has an old stained finish which is worn in the raised points where one would expect to see rubbing, there is circular watermark damage to the left hand side at the top which hinges open to reveal a compartment but lacks its original lock, the two doors to the front lack a key and have some white glue like substance to one side that looks like it will clean off, internally there are 10 drawers with recessed brass handles with numbered paper labels, butterflies within have paper name tags to approximately 50% or more of the specimens, giving Latin name and geographical location but no date.
