Overall rather dirty with stains and wear to the leather work, stitching and gussets remain solid and intact, metalwork has loss much of its original gilt finish although some is still retained, handles look original and are in good order, old travel labels stuck to the ends, underside as to be expected with more wear but still good, interior looks like the original lining which is now rather grubby, no key for the lock.
