Lot 28 , A Victorian mother of pearl inlaid rosewood jewellery cabinet

A Victorian mother of pearl inlaid rosewood jewellery cabinet

A Victorian mother of pearl inlaid rosewood jewellery cabinet
Estimate £200-300

Good condition for one these boxes, possibly needs a light re-polish but otherwise little by way of faults to notice, perhaps one of two tiny little chips from some of the moulding, mother of pearl looks complete, hinges possibly replacements but good, rather larged domed lid looks like it ought to conceal a secret compartment but nothing apparent, interior in good order with watered puce silk and velvet, comes with a key that doesn't quite work the lock enough to hold the doors closed and when lid is down the right hand door springs slightly open so this lock does need some attention.
Height: 37cm.
